U.S. Chamber Endorses Fred Keller
Today, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce endorsed Fred Keller for the Pennsylvania 12th Congressional District special election on May 21.
“As someone who got his start working on a factory floor, I am proud to have the Chamber of Commerce’s endorsement and to promote policies that will help small businesses grow and hire workers,” said Keller. “The people at Allison Crane and Rigging and other small businesses across Pennsylvania are the ones who get it done every day. I look forward to taking their values to Washington.”
Keller had a 25-year career in the manufacturing industry at Conestoga Wood Specialties, where he started on the factory floor before managing the plant for 10 years. While at Conestoga, Keller started his own successful small business as a general contractor and managing residential properties.
Keller is running for Congress on a pro-jobs platform that includes supporting career and technical education, investing in our nation’s infrastructure, including expanding rural broadband access and building natural gas pipelines, and making permanent the middle-class and small business tax cuts.
“Fred Keller has a record of advancing legislation that helps attract jobs, modernize the district’s infrastructure, invigorate the local energy sector, and reduce the regulatory burden on all area businesses,” said Ben Taylor, Executive Director of Congressional & Public Affairs for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. “We know Fred will continue to advocate for these pro-growth policies and others like it once elected to Congress. We are proud to endorse Fred -- the clear pro-jobs candidate -- in this race.”
Representatives of the U.S. Chamber, Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry, and Williamsport Chamber of Commerce presented Keller with the endorsement at an event with employees of Allison Crane and Rigging in Williamsport.
The Chamber announcement is another in a line of high profile endorsements Keller has earned, including: the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), BIPAC, Fraternal Order of Police Bald Eagle Lodge 51 (Centre County), National Right to Life, Pennsylvania Pro-Life Federation, and the NRA.
